Last Saturday, Nov.3rd was the 57th annual demo for Yoshinkan Aikido. Held once again at the Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo, Japan. Regular Maihama visitors, Okushima Akiko and Sato Naomi took 3rd in the womens blackbelt competition, and brown belts Fujiwara Mizuho and Kosaka Tomoko took 1st in their category. Congratulations!
Once again Maihama members joined up with Irifune and friends to do an exciting variety of kihon, kaeshi, chukyu and jiyu-waza. Members ranged from kids brown belts to adult 3dans. We managed to do ourselves proud with an interesting, synchronized and difficult demonstration. Great Job! Next up - the Urayasu enbu in May 2013.
